Seditious Libel

Since 2003 the Ohio punk scene has seen the creation of many bands, none of which seem to stand out as much as Seditious Libel. A four piece political hardcore outfit, these self professed "peace punks" have been dominating with increasing fervor, using their music as a vehicle for social and political change and refusing to relent when faced with any obstacles. Sharing the stage with many great bands such as the Misfits, Teenage Rehab, The Fallen, Ryan's Hope and Ohio's staple punk rock band, Legbone, Seditious Libel has found great success writing music on their terms, filling the gap left by old hardcore punk greats like Minor Threat, Black Flag and the Gorilla Biscuits. Playing in Ohio all over Dayton and Columbus, branching out further into the Midwest often playing in Indiana, Seditious Libel is on the rise, currently booking their first east coast summer tour for 2008 and planning to subjugate the modern punk scene with and old school mentality. Abstaining from the fashion punk and radio friendly nature of many of today's top bands, Seditious Libel stands defiant in their attempts to combat the neo-conservative slaughter of our rights and preserve and promote the concept of human dignity. Continuing to go strong by releasing 2 DIY EPs and several demos, as well as being featured on the 2007 Skratch Magazine Vans Warped Tour mp3 Sampler and soon to be released full length Ohio's Best compilation, Seditious Libel is a force to reckoned with and refuse to back down until their impact on the punk scene and political landscape is fully felt.
