Reviews
Here is a review of virtual unknowns, the Dopamines. Featuring members of Black Tie Bombers and Ukraine Crane and already with a Midwest tour under their belts. The Dopamines demo was something I listened to constantly on repeat.

Hands Across Basements Fest: May 1-3
Hands Across Basements Fest
Jon Weiner, a member of no less than 100,000 local bands and chief booker at the Glendora House has joined up with Kaleb K. (formerly of bands like Inside Recess and inblackandwhite) to book a three-day Do-It-Yourself Punk Rock Basement Festival in three different basements across the city.
Here's a blurb taken from the event's myspace page:
"Hands Across Basements" is a Cincinnati Punk Rock Basement Festival. The title was coined by Cinci Punk Rock veteran, Mr. Tom Caruso. It is being organized by Jon W. of Glendora House and Kaleb K. most recently of inblackandwhite. "Hands Across Basements" will be 3 days, May 1-3, of punk rock and pop punk imported from the Midwest with a strong presence of locals.
It is "Hands Across Basements" goal to accomplish 3 DIY basement shows that are well attended, can pay the bands at least gas money, and that are fun as hell."
It looks that some of the nation's area's hottest bands are taking part, including Delay (Columbus, OH), Chinese Telephones (Milwaukee, WI), and Lemuria (Buffalo, NY). It is important to notice the diverse bands that make up the bill, which is not totally booked. This looks to be a great way to celebrate diverse music and the bands and basement venues who work hard to make it happen.
